Let's Make Art - Day 1
Share
Hey hey Makers!!
If you didn't see the introduction post, you can check it out here.
Key Points from Day 1
But, either way, I hope you join me, on this daily art-making journey. You can check out today's video below, but bottom line up front, here are your key takeaways:
- Making everyday makes it easier to make art over time.
- We're not striving to make the world's greatest art everyday. Each piece is not going to be a masterpiece. In fact, some might be really bad. (Spoiler alert - I've got some doozies coming up, friends.)
-
But expecting every piece to be great is a surefire way to avoid starting at all.
- Just doing something takes the pressure off. The more you do it, the more you exercise that creative muscle, the easier it gets. The easier it gets and the more you do, the more likely you are to start getting something good.
- If you get stuck trying to figure out a color palette, an easy hack is to pick a color and use varying tints, tones, and shades of that color.
- Tint = color + white
- Tone = color + gray
- Shade = color + black
